PETER HANLIN
Peter brings 27 years of experience as a police dog handler, having worked in various demanding roles such as the armed offenders squad and search and rescue. He has competed nationally at police dog championships and specialises in scent detection and tracking training. Peter’s expertise in behavioural reshaping and outdoor search training makes him particularly skilled in problem-solving and tackling unique training challenges. A firm believer in positive reinforcement, Peter enjoys working with dogs to achieve real, practical results. When he’s not training, Peter shares his life with two dogs, Lou and Tui, and loves the constant challenge that dog training brings.
SAM CLOYNES
With over 25 years of experience, Sam is a seasoned professional in dog training. In her own time, she has represented the Southern Region at Nationals, competed in Rally O, and earned multiple titles in National Obedience Championships and New Zealand Grand Obedience. As a qualified NZKC Canine Good Citizen Approved Trainer, she specialises in scent detection and competition obedience while also offering puppy development and basic obedience training. Sam is dedicated to using positive training methods and helping each dog reach its full potential. Proud owner of three NZ Obedience Champions, Rookie, Shilo and Cadet, and one NZ Obedience Grand Champion, Olly. She brings deep knowledge and a passion for working with all breeds.

Meet Some Recruits
Hey, I’m Cadet, a 3-year-old Huntaway and an NZ Obedience Champion! I’ve represented the Southern Region in Obedience and competed at the top level with plenty of success. I’m the big class clown, always full of energy, and I never turn down a cuddle. Oh, and I’m pretty handsome, if I do say so myself.

Rumour, my Golden Irish and I have been training with Sam both one-on-one and in group lessons. Our aim is competitive obedience, and Sam has been awesome in coaching both me and Rumour. I took our retriever cross to both Puppy and Basic Manners classes. Not only did we see substantial improvements in our puppy's obedience, but the confidence it gave my wife, who was previously afraid of dogs, was amazing.
